Khurram, Yousuf Take Pakistan to 187-2 at Tea

COLOMBO: Pakistan have seized control at tea on day one with 187 for two on the first day of the third Test at Premadasa Stadium here.Opener Khurram Manzoor playing at 86 and Mohammed Yousuf at 76, as the third wicket partnership has added 151 runs in Pakistan total laying a solid foundation for a substantial first-innings total.
The second session remained wicket less and Pakistan batsmen added 84 runs between Lunch and Tea break.
Sri Lankan captain won the toss and opted to field in the morning. The visitors lost their first wicket on 34 when Fawad Alam was out on a delivery of Thushara who also taken the wicket of Younus Khan in the same over.
Yousuf and Manzoor added 67 runs in third wicket partnership before Lunch. They handled the conditions – tilted in favour of the bowlers for the morning session – well, scoring at a decent pace to take Pakistan to a good position going into the break.
